I had a great time talking to Rob, and I’m so thankful to MTV for making it happen! He’s a really cool guy and I know he’s going to do a great job playing Edward in the movie. Twilighters, the scene you will see during the pre-show on Sunday is amazing, and I know you’re all going to love it.

She’s since taken over the throne of Vampire Queen abandoned by Anne Rice when she devoted herself to writing about the life of Christ. Despite their seeming incompatibility, Meyer sees no conflict between her subject and her faith.

While Rice titillated her audience with baroque prose and explicit sex, Meyer writes simply and depicts her monsters as moral — they feed on wild bears instead of people — and her humans as utterly chaste.

Twilight Watch: ‘Breaking Dawn’ Theories Abound, ‘The Host’ Rocks

Quick thoughts on The Host: Compelling and dramatic story, great characters, and it pretty much has “adapt me into a movie, please!” written all over it. For those not in the know, the book is a tale about an alien invasion by a race of intelligent parasitic beings who take over the body of a host and obliterate the “soul” of the person who previously resided there.

Twilight Novel From a Male Perspective

One scene in particular has Edward swooping in to stop a swerving van from crushing Bella… with his bare hands. It’s hinted at briefly in the teaser, but it might be an intense action sequence in the film. Plus a vampire showdown climax might be worth a look, even if it doesn’t include the inevitable fight for a gun or a lightsaber duel.
