TwilightMOMS and TwilightTEENS!

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

I am so proud to announce our official affiliation with TwilightTEENS! Our teen visitors have been so wonderful and respectful! We appreciate them and their enthusiasm for all things Twilight.  And to just remain lurking on TwilightMOMS out of respect for our desire to have a place of our own has shown just how mature and respectable they are.  What better way to THANK YOU than to affiliate with the TwilightTEENS. They are a message board created and run by teens for fans age 13 to 25. I have been wanting to provide a place just for our 25 and younger lurkers that provided the same warm and uplifting atmosphere of friendship and Twilight fandom. However, with all that we moms and “older” fans have on our plate already, it seemed unrealistic to manage a whole other forum of enthusiastic fans with twice the energy I have! The Administration from TwilightTeens has made this a reality and I am SO grateful to Sara and all the staff for making it possible. Thank You! All you under 25ers go register on TwilightTEENS. TwilightMOMS will be sharing all the latest and greatest Twilight/Stephenie/TMInsider up to date info there as well as on TwilightMOMS. This will be your place to talk all about it and share your love for Twilight and make even more lasting friendships. Please read and abide by the TwilightTEENS rules. They are just as determined as we are to make it a fun and positive place for fans to mingle. Thanks to ALL the Twilight fans out there who have supported TwilightMOMS and made it such a wonderful place to visit, whether you’re registered or not. We LOVE you!!! Lisa CLICK HERE TO VISIT TwilightTEENS.com

More than squirrels were jumping from tree to tree last week as film crews for the movie “Twilight” finished shooting at Silver Falls State Park.

“Twilight” stunt doubles Helena Barrett and Paul Darnell use a cable and harness to glide through a wooded area Thursday at Silver Falls State Park. Film crews spent a week at the park.

Information from Summit regarding filming at Viewpoint Inn

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

A representative of Summit Entertainment has contacted TwilightMOMS with a request to pass on some information regarding the filming to take place at the Viewpoint Inn.

THE VIEWPOINT INN WILL BE A CLOSED SET. NO UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS WILL BE GIVEN ACCESS TO THE SET DURING FILMING AT THIS LOCATION. ANYONE FOUND TRYING TO GAIN UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO THE SET WILL IMMEDIATELY BE ESCORTED OFF THE PROPERTY.

We have been informed that not even members of the press or guests of the cast/crew will be allowed at this location during filming.

We are asking our members to please respect this information and stay away from the Viewpoint Inn while filming is taking place.
We encourage you to make reservations for dinner or an overnight stay at this beautiful, historic inn at any other time. We will also gladly post pictures and a report from the first TwilightMOMS Viewpoint slumber party to be held next week.

Also, Summit does not want any details of the scenes filmed at the Viewpoint Inn to be released. In deference to this, we will not allow any pictures, videos or “set reports”, whether by fans or extras, to be posted or linked on this site. We ask that those of our members who may be involved in the production do not share information publicly.

TwilightMOMs is dedicated to working with Summit to bring you the latest news and information, and we are doing all we can to maintain a positive relationship with them. Please help us out by adhering to the above requests.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Stephenie Appreciation Book

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

One of our members, Tara, has started a project and needs our help! I will let her describe it in her own words.

I am lucky enough to go to one of Stephenie’s book signings in The Host tour! I would like to give her a gift of appreciation while I am there. So… I am making a “Stephenie Meyer Appreciation Book”! I need your help!

Here are the rules:

1. Send your entry to xxTNTCustomxx@aol.com of how you appreciate Stephenie Meyer for whatever reasons you have! It may just be a quick letter, a picture you’ve “photoshopped” (or whatver program u use) of SM, or whatever you need to use to express your gratitude towards this wonderful woman! Please use “SM Book” as the Subject Title so I know what you are sending it for. In your e-mail, please also put your name & where you are from. Your entry may be one of the following:** A Microsoft Word document as a ‘.doc’ file or a ‘.jpg’ file. Please make the letter about 1 page. It can be shorter, but not longer.** A JPEG (a.k.a. JPG) or PDF file in the size of a 8″x5″ (that’s 8″ tall and 5″ wide) with a 72 dpi resolution.

2. Book pages will be printed in B/W, so keep that in mind when composing your page.

3. The book will be available for purchasing after it is finished if you’d like a copy. The price is not yet determined. It will depend on how many entries are sent in.

4.The book will be “perfect bound” so it can easily sit on her book shelf at home, hopefully next to her Twilight books!

5. Please DO NOT limit your entry to be about “how much you love Twilight”. Remember, this is a STEPHENIE MEYER Appreciaition Book. Not a “I Love Twilight” Book. These things can be mentioned, but please do not limit your entry to just that.

6. The deadline for entries is Friday April 25th. Any after that will not be accepted. I need time between then and the book signing Im going to, to prepare the book and have it printed.

7.Pass this on and tell your friends! The more we get in this book, the better she’ll realize how much we LOVE HER! Don’t forget to send your entries to the EMAIL ADDRESS up above. Do not reply with your letter here. You can reply, just not with your letters and/or pictures.

HAPPY SENDING!
♥Tara

Vendor of the Month!!!

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

We have been working really hard to come up with some new, fun things for all of our TwilightMOMS. One of these things we decided to do is the Vendor of the Month! We wanted to find a way to give back to our amazing community of TMs and thought that this would be a great way to help support our members.

EndlessTwilight has this to say to us about our Vendors of the month:

I am in charge of choosing our Vendor of the Month and for the month of April, we are spotlighting Signs and Salvage!

I just happened to spot them in this forum, bought something and saw that they had created mulitple signs related to Twilight so I thought we would create a Vendor of the Month section to spotlight anyone who creates and sells Twilight related merchandise as I see we are getting quite a collection of vendors and artist in here!

In the coming months I will be on the lookout for more vendors to spotlight. This is a great way to get more traffic to your site, promote your items/store and hopefully, increase your sales!!

Here are some specific aspects I will be looking for:

-A fairly good selection of Twilight/Host related items, although I’m not opposed to a vendor with only 1 or 2 high-quality items like jewlery or art work.

-A website to link to where buyers can view items and make a safe purchase through paypal or other reputable host site.

-A+ selling history on Ebay, Etsy, Cafe Press or other host site.

-No copyright infringements.

What is copyright infringement? (From Etsy.com)
“Generally, copyright infringement occurs when a copyrighted work is reproduced, distributed, performed, publicly displayed, or made into a derivative work without the permission of the copyright owner. Someone may infringe even without making any money.”

Your items must not incorporate pictures from the Twilight movie and/or the cover art from any of the Twilight series of books and/or The Host. Your items must not incorporate the TwilightMOMS.com logo or any TwilightMOMS related items without expressed consent of the owner, Lisa.

-You must be prepared to put in the time necessary to handle increased sales, should they occur, with regards to producing and shipping your product in a reasonable amount if time.

-In some cases, I might ask for a sample of the item, which I would be willing to purchase, for further review and endorsement.

Read about our first ever Vendor of the Month HERE. Seriously, take a look at their adorable signs… I want 10 of them!
