Dear Stephenie I am so very sorry that someone has done this to you, there are just not words,it is so wrong. I do ask of you someday if you feel that you can to please finish writing Midnight Sun for your fans. Please do not punish the multitudes for the sins of the one. Thanks for all you have done for us, the endless hours of incredible reading. You rock, I hope you read this. KJ

I just want to say that I feel so sad for Stephenie. For this to be leaked, must be such a heartwrenching thing to have happened, a violation of her rights.
I will never forget or take for granted that it is because of her that we have the “all things Twilight”…truly a gift that she has given us! I support Stephenie & feel grateful for the “happy escape” it has given me.
Here’s sending Stephenie Meyer a great big hug, know that you truly have dedicated fans that will stand with you through everything. You are an inspiration to me & to many others…

Noooo! No midnight sun?! Well now I’m sad.

I’m sorry about the circumstances which led to Stephenie posting Midnight Sun’s partial draft on her website. BUT it was unbelievably amazing. I spent most of the afternoon reading it and I Can’t help swooning again!!! I hope Stephenie that you will again find the passion to work on MIdnight Sun and that the greed of other people (or unjustifiable obsession in owning your story - READ: BD -)doesn’t stop you from telling more wonderful stories.

wow! I am terribly disappointed that we won’t be getting a finished Midnight Sun. I’m also really disappointed that someone would do this…leaking the unfinished MS. And I feel bad for Stephanie. I’m sure it was a shock and utter disappointment to find this leaked. However I think her head on approach to dealing with this shows a lot of honesty and grace no matter how hurt she is and I have even more respect now for one my favorite writers. I’m NOT going to read the leaked MS and I WILL keep my fingers crossed that some day the disappointment fades and SM does continue on with MS.

This is heartbreaking! i feel like i was just dumped. did Stephenie just break up with us? Are we on a break?
August 29th, 2008 at 8:01 am
I understand Stephenie’s frustration but I am upset that now everyone has to be punished. It is too bad. I hope she will ignore disgruntal fans because I have a feeling if people start revulting, she will stop writing period.

I actually feel rather sad that she doesn’t feel she will go on writing Midnight Sun for a long while.
It makes me sad.
August 29th, 2008 at 9:11 am
Well that seems to be that. First, the negativity surrounding Breaking Dawn by those who expected a totally different book, and now the leak by a trusted individual of the MS draft. I don’t blame Stephenie for feeling the way she does, and for deciding to put Twilight behind her for the forseeable future. I guess there’s nothing more to do but accept her decision and show her our support somehow amd hope for the best.

This makes me really sad for Stephenie. What betrayal she must feel towards whoever leaked the unfinished work. How very heartbreaking and I am so sorry that this happened. I am however impressed with how Stephenie is handling the situation. She is doing so with much more dignity and grace than I think a lot of people would given the situation. She has every right to be angry and heartbroken.
To Stephenie: Betrayals from trusted friends hurt more than anything else. It takes a long time to move past them. I just hope that one day, you can find it in your heart to continue writing Midnight Sun. In the meantime, we will continue to read and revamp the Twilight saga and get lost in the world of Bella and Edward. Take care and remember that time heals wounds even if it takes a while. Allow yourself that time.

What an awful thing to have happen! I can understand her frustration and the hurt to have someone do that to her. I feel that this may be the end of all future Twilight related tales. It’s a shame that her work has been treated the way it has, but I’m sure that many many writers must have faced similar challenges. I only hope that she is strong enough to continue HER stories and maybe even let the rest of us have a glimpse of them.

I won’t read Midnight sun until it is on my hands.
I wait as long as I have to!
Stephenie, we love you and we can’t say what you have to do , but maybe we can ask you to do something…MS? Please?
August 29th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
That breaks my heart. Utterly, utterly, utterly.
I am crushed, and very very angry at whoever did this to Stephenie, her family, and her fans.
I just get the feeling from her tone that she isn’t hopeful about ever continuing MS, but I will continue keeping everything crossed and hope for a day when she can continue it and it is released.
August 29th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Stephenie, if you read this, please know that your true fans are behind you, and I hope time heals your heart. I hope someday you feel you can return to Edward’s world, so we can too…….

I completely agree with eloramoonjas. I can not believe someone would do this. I am heartbroken for Stephenie, and all of her real fans that were so excited to be getting Twilight from Edward’s POV. I seriously think I am going to cry. :*(
August 29th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
I agree with all of you. I already posted in the forum section, but it is definitely heartbreaking that this happened. I can’t begin to describe the devastation I feel, because she feels it!! And it must be a million times worse for her. I respect her need for space right now, but hope that some day she will come back to it and finish the story from Edward’s POV. I was looking forward to this book more than the others. I was so excited to be able to understand what Edward was thinking. I was eager to own the book for my very own. Hopefully, some day I will *sigh* We love you Steph.

Stephenie,
I am so truely sorry that someone has so deeply hurt you this way! I literally wanted to cry when I read your statement. I was so looking forward to reading the completed version of Midnight Sun. I hope one day that you will be able to some how get past the hurt and continue writing Midnight Sun for all your adoring fans. I know I would appreciate it and I’m sure all the other fans would appreciate it also.
Thanks you for all your wonderful works so far. I hope someday I will be able to read Midnight Sun in my hands the way you meant it to be.
Sincerely,
Mindy

what a noble thing to post that draft the way you did. That really showed a lot of grace and strength. I mean what a perfect way to handle that terrible situation. And Stephanie if you ever get back to a place where you can find it in your heart to finish writing Midnight Sun there are many of us that will be waiting. We will be eager to see the rest of the story through Edward’s eyes. I am not alone when I say I hope with all of my heart that someday we will get to continue where you left off. It wouldn’t seem right if we never get to hear Edward’s thoughts during the Saturday in the meadow or during that first night he spends with Bella that he actually gets to lay beside her.
You deserve to get to finish writing it and your fans will be there waiting with open arms.
