Thank you for the email address! I sent in an email, and hopefully they read it! It would be nice for them to run a “companion” piece showing how many of us TRULY loved BD, and to give us the opportunity to refute that “D” rating that it did NOT deserve.

I have always held Entertainment Weekly in high regard. I have never read a review by them that was not honest and did not meet the standards to which I hold their magazine. EW put a lot of stack in the book and movie recently without seeing either finished product. I, for one, am glad that even though they were promoting this book, they did not sugarcoat their review. I’ve already sent a letter to EW thanking them for their continued commitment to genuine reviews of entertainment.

I loved Breaking Dawn most of it was just the way I wanted it to be. I will say the only thing about Breaking Dawn that makes me sad it that it is the last book in the series. I love the whole series including BD and have and will continue to read them over and over!!!!

Sent my e-mail. Thanks for this info.

Thanks for reminding me that I wanted to shoot them a letter! I thought the D grade was far too harsh! Even the actual review of the book wasn’t that scathing, so to put a D on there was a little much! Not that it would deter anyone from reading the book, but maybe they would decide not to read the series. The other thing I did find weird was they have always been so complimentary of the rest of the series & the movie. Maybe the reviewer was having a bad day. :)

i’m goin to be the odd one out and hope they post this, but, I thought the D rating was fair. Well, I probably would ahve given it a C, but still. It wasn’t worth an A or B to me, but that’s my opinion. I’m glad people liked it, I for one, did not. But I don’t think I’ll be sending any love their way. Probably won’t send an email either. I’m over my issues with the book, but I will continue to read wahtever SM puts out.

I was so happy to have a chance to express my love of BD to EW. Thanks for making it so easy for me to do just that.

I think that it’s inappropriate to demand that the magazine change its review. It’s called freedom of speech and they have just as much a right to give it the review they feel it deserves just like all of us have the right to give it our own personal reviews. I was very unhappy with the book and felt it deserved a low rating, however that doesn’t mean I am any less a fan of the series and Stephenie Meyer’s books. Even within TwilightMoms there is a split bewteen who liked it and who didn’t, yet the moderators are giving us the right to express it civilly. Shouldn’t we give the printed media theame?

I sent my letter as well. And a D? I thought that was way too harsh! I personally loved the book and am really hoping they will continue to make all of the books into a movie. Thanks for the information!

First of all, Stephenie Meyer is an excellent writer. Her books grab you with the first sentence and when the book is over, you are craving for more. It’s like an addiction - a wonderful addiction.
“Breaking Dawn” is everything I hoped it would be and more. The book definitely tied up all the loose ends for me and answered all my questions. All of my wishes came true for Bella, Edward, and Jacob. The only thing I can find fault with is that it is the last book in the “Twilight Saga” and I am still craving more. I love the characters in these books, and I am so grateful to Stephenie for sharing them with us. What started out as a dream for Stephenie Meyer became a reality for millions.
Thank you Stephenie Meyer for a most beautiful-imaginative journey. I applaud you for a job well done. (a Twilightmom)

I am sending in my email to Entertainment Weekly and giving the address to the girls at work. This amazing book was a gift from a very talented writer. I don’t want Stephenie to think her fans deserted her, and don’t care deeply about our vampire family. We love them both. I embrace Renesmee and hope that Stephenie can find it in her heart to give us more in the future. She has inspired me to read more, to love more and to be a better mom!

Entertainment Weekly no longer gets to influence my entertainment choices. I cancelled my newly renewed subscription. (I figured controversy they wanted, NOT cancelled subscriptions). No refund is their policy. I told them that I would enjoy lining my bird cage with the weekly critics review columns and my only regret is for my bird!

I wrote to EW and explained that even though I am a huge fan of the Twilight Series and of Stephenie Meyer, I was disappointed with the book and did not like it. I gave them KUDOS for being able to write an honest review despite the fact they were a huge promoter of the series and of Stephenie Meyer over the past month. It shows that the magazine can be fair with their reviews no matter how much they invest in a promo spot. Here’s an idea, this is something I have seen in magazines before, maybe they should have done a review by someone who loved it and then someone who did not like it. It is possible to be a fan and not love everything she puts out.

Just sent this message off to EW: I was amazed at how flawlessly Stephanie was able to complete this series. She wrapped up all of the loose ends and created a conclusion that has me reeling in anticipation. I loved the rollercoaster ride. I was screaming, crying, laughing, cheering, sighing, and nail biting the entire time that I read. This is what make Stephanie’s books great. The journey. She created intimate moments that left the door open to make them our own. She gave enough detail to lead us in the right direction and then left us to fill in the rest. I was pleased with the creation of Renesme. She is what completes this timeless love story. A family. It was nice to see this story end in such a way that exemplifies true character. Anyone can fight, but to use ones mind to find an amicable end is truly refreshing. (This is what we all should be teaching our children) Stephanie could not have written Breaking Dawn more to my liking. It was everything I hoped and longed for. A happy ending.

    I agree 100% with luvs2dance. I couldn’t have said it better. Perfect.
